Integrating Anonymous Signature Schemes into PKI using Dynamic Cryptographic Accumulators

4th place · CAST Award 2009

Client/server applications for anonymous signature schemes. The thesis describes how anonymous signatures can be integrated into an existing PKI using dynamic cryptographic accumulators.

Study project · Ruhr University Bochum

A Software Extension for Practical Attacks on RFID Devices

Software for practical attacks on RFID cards: a program for an AVR microcontroller written in assembler, and a C++ interface for the PC built in Visual Studio.

Internships

VHDL internship

LFSR, A5/1 and SAFER in hardware

An LFSR in VHDL, running at around 300 MHz. An A5/1 – the cipher used in GSM – at around 220 MHz. Plus an implementation of SAFER, variant K-64.

Background: LFSR, A5/1, SAFER (Wikipedia).

Seminars

Seminar · RFID

Contactless smartcards

A seminar on attacks against contactless smartcards and the countermeasures – from the radio interface to the card itself.

Legacy formats

The slides are also available as an XPS file.

Seminar

Thing Oriented Programming

A basic overview of Thing Oriented Programming.

Legacy formats

The slides are also available as an XPS file.

Case study

Windows 2000

An overview of the Windows 2000 operating system – architecture, services and the attack surface of the time.

Legacy formats

The slides are also available as an XPS file.

Other

XML & web security

Multiply signed XML documents

A Java program that lets several people sign the same XML document independently, each with their own key. The package contains the code and the paper.
